Coaching Education

In order to have our coaches best prepared for the upcoming season we are offering the Multisport Module for Competition B on March 26th and 27th in Maple Ridge.  Coaches wishing to be 'certified' as Entry Level Competitive Coaches must have completed  the Competition A and Competition B courses, the online Making Ethical Decisions module as well as the Entry Level Competitive Coach course prior to being evaluated and certified as a competent 'ELCC' coach.

The ELCC, CanoeKids and an Entry Level WW course will all be held in Fort Langley in conjunction with the Sport BC Power of Sport Tour and the CanoeKayak Canada Coaches week.  Online registration is ready to go!  ELCC is a MUST for all BC Summer Games coaches.

Parents interested in watching their children compete in the upcoming BC Summer Games this summer are invited to book at the Langley Sandman Hotel; official hotel of the BC Summer Games.  Call the hotel directly at 604-888-7263 and quote reservation 208477 (for CanoeKayak BC) for a rate of $120/night.

World Canoeing Day

World Canoeing Day is June 13th.  Clubs are encouraged to take this day to showcase our sport in their community.  Forward details of your event so that it can be sanctioned and added to our events calendar.  Nanaimo's successful 'who can stay up longest in a C-1' seems to be a popular event for the day....perhaps we can post the contest results from each club!
